This silver jewellery is made in the hills of northern Thailand out of very high percentage silver, often 999, as is traditional. The smithing techniques are basic and ancient, involving mostly cold shaping with mallets and shears and embossing with punches.
They are very lightly polished, giving a rustic, matt finish.
The result is curiously tribal and contemporary at once.
